Workshop Day Timeline - June 27, 2025

Here’s a glimpse into how our workshop is designed to spark creativity, build community, and help you grow as an artist and entrepreneur.

11:00 AM – Attendees arrive
Grab your seat, coffee, and a delicious pastry! ☕🥐 Let’s ease into the day with good vibes and good snacks.

11:30-2:00 AM – Content Shooting
We’ll divide into smaller groups for a hands-on shooting experience featuring multiple stunning set-ups and 2 models. Leah (our lead photographer), and Jamie will be circulating to offer posing guidance, camera tips, and creative support.

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Sip, Eat & Mingle & Q/As
Grab a snack, refresh your coffee, and connect casually with fellow creatives. Sometimes the best collaborations start over a sandwich. We’l chat through our biggest takeaways, wins, and lessons of the day. We’ll also open the floor for quick video or written testimonials (optional but super appreciated!) and help everyone swap social media handles to keep building those new connections.

This hands-on workshop is designed for photographers who are passionate about celebrating beauty in all its forms and want to level up their posing skills, confidence behind the camera, and portfolio.

This intimate learning experience will focus on body-positive storytelling, guiding you through the art of boudoir photography with real-world, practical instruction. Hey, I'm Leah! I'm a lifestyle and wedding photographer based out of Red Deer, Alberta. For almost six years now, I’ve been lucky enough to call photography my full-time gig — and honestly, it’s been such a blessing. I never really niched down into one specific thing; I just follow the projects that light me up and make my heart happy 💛.

I'm also a busy mom to two amazing little humans — Sophie (6) and Jace (3) — who definitely keep life interesting (and noisy)! One of the biggest gifts this career has given me is the ability to be truly present with them, while still building a strong, stable life for our family.

I’m a big believer that finding the sweet spot between work and home life is the real secret to success — because when you avoid burnout and feeling overstimulated, it’s wild how much better your energy is for both your clients and yourself. ✨ I love cheering others on as they chase their dream jobs, helping them find that balance, and showing them that a happy, fulfilled life isn’t just a wish — it’s 100% within reach.

    You'll be able to use your images in your portfolio, on your website, and across your social platforms. We just ask that you tag and credit all participating vendors, models, and Mint when you post.
    Sharing your work (and tagging others) doesn’t just show respect — it also boosts your visibility in front of new audiences, helps you build strong industry connections, and increases your chances of being reshared across multiple accounts. 🚀

  • We’re glad you asked! Traditional styled shoots can be a little chaotic (read: 20 photogs elbowing for one bouquet). This is organized, intentional, and designed for you to actually get the shots you need — without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

  • Heck yes. We’ve created movement moments and behind-the-scenes content just for creators who work in video or reels/tikTok formats. You’ll have space to capture stunning visuals from your unique angle.

  • Tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable. Life happens — if you can’t attend, you’re welcome to gift or sell your spot to another rad creative (just loop us in).

  • Travel is not included, unless we’re planning an out-of-country destination shoot (then we’ll provide group travel rates). If you’re traveling in for the event, we’re happy to connect you with our travel agent to help with bookings, or venue with group rates.

    We’ll also provide snacks and bevvies throughout the day. We’ll ask about dietary restrictions in advance and do our best to accommodate, but if you have specific needs, we suggest bringing your own food or snacks just to be safe.

  • Yes, absolutely! 🙌 We've intentionally kept the group small, brought in a larger number of models, and created multiple set-ups to shoot — all so that you’ll have plenty of one-on-one time.
    This gives you the space to direct poses, try different angles, and build a portfolio that feels personal to your style (without feeling rushed or crowded).

  • Yes, we sure do! 🎨 Mint creates a full mood board and concept plan for every editorial shoot. This helps keep the vision cohesive and inspiring, while still giving you creative freedom to add your own flair.
    You’ll know the overall vibe, color palettes, and style direction ahead of time — so you can show up confident and ready to create magic!
